1) Wolfenstein is coming late summer/early next fall for PS360 and PC.
2) Treyarch is currently working three titles that will see release next fall, Spider-Man: Red vs. Black "featuring an original plotline chronicling one of the comic world's greatest rivalries," Call of Duty 5 "a historical shooter that introduces many innovative ideas never-before-seen in the series that will excite fans," and James Bond 007 (working title) "an explosive action game with a strong online component that lives up to the legacy of the greatest action character of all-time" that will be the first of annual releases.
3) Plans for a PS3-exclusive Far Cry title has been trashed in favor of Far Cry 2 for next-gen consoles. Okay, so this decision may have predated the posting of the original item by quite awhile.
4) Heavy Iron is working on WALL•E for PSWii60, DSP and PS2.

are you trying to mock someone at activision?
Please tell me "James Bond" isn't going to be an annual release and that's merely me misreading.
And who is doing Wolfenstein? Raven, Splash Damage or someone else?
Do you think that Michael Powell's leveraging of fines was due to political pressure and what do you generally think of him?
Raven is doing Wolfenstein. id is busy with Rage and as for Splash Damage's next project I have no clue... maybe SurferGirl does.
anonymous: No comment.
eric: It is annual, they hope to alternate between film-based games and original titles.
sueo: It was announced ages ago that Raven is doing it.
tim: Definitely, I think he did great job aside from what he was pressured to do. Of course, he did not fall in line with the idiocy of the current administration and was more or less booted out. Ken Martin is a complete tool who suppresses innovation.
How long until you think publishers will force M$$$$$$$$$ to reverse their decision to fuck silver XBL members over?
Treyarch doing COD5? uh oh. i know a few people who wont like that
anonymous: Maybe a few months.
Heavy Iron also will probably keep on making Pixar games even after WALL-E.

I really hope you're not talking about the whole silver getting things a week later thing. If that is considered being fucked over to you, you need to find better things to do with life. Wait a week, the world keeps spinning.
Wasn't Ultimate Spiderman 2 cancelled for quality reasonss?
anonymous: Something like that.
I actually hope COD5 is done by Teyarch, as I enjoyed COD3 more than COD2. It had an actual SP storyline, and a really well-done Multiplayer component. Everyone sucking off IW seems to forget the completely busted Multiplayer in the 360 version, and that it took four months to get it working correctly, and nearly that long before anyone at Activision or IW even acknowledged the problem.
The Mother title is not a new one, correct?
anonymous: Correct. Although, there is a fairly good chance that it could be one that has not seen stateside release.
I don't know anyone who played CoD3 and could rate it even close to CoD2 or CoD4.
Hell, even IW considers CoD4 to be the third game in-house. (the game executable during development read Cod3.exe)
I think it's a horrible idea. All the new stuff that was put into 3 was yanked out for 4, and it was as tight as the previous games a result.
Well, now you know one person who considers COD3 better than COD2, and doesn't really care what anyone at IW considers regarding it. I enjoyed the 5 hours it took to finish the COD4 SP campaign, but it added absolutely nothing to the series other than the modern setting - if anything, it was even more of an "on-rails" experience. Maybe in COD6 we'll get to play the other half of the COD4 SP campaign. Just my opinion.
Are 3rd parties abandoning the PSP for original, exclusive titles?
How much support will the new PSP store see from 3rd parties?
Ugh.. I'm never going to get another decent James Bond game, am i?
SG - Since we're on the topic of Bond, what thoughts do you have on The Agency? I was stoked when I read about all the features (especially having enjoyed Splinter Cell's excellent Spies vs. Mercs mode), but the footage was a bit "meh".
And would I be right in assuming Spider-Man: Red vs. Black will be delving into the whole Venom saga? Will it trump the horrible job the movie did, or should I stop holding my breath?
Also - can we expect the new PoP to use the Scimitar engine? Will the new PoP be tied to the artwork from the leak we saw last year, or has it moved on?
Heavy Iron are a good team. They did well on previous PIXAR titles(The Incredibles series) which were not the usual low-risk low-originality stuff.
SG,Do you know if microsoft will make a crackdown sequel?
mike: Yes, not much.
mikel: Probably not.
EddieValiant: I have no thoughts on The Agency. Yes, it is Spidey v. Venom. I wouldn't hold my breath. Possible.
shmoo: Not happening.
Do you have more information on the Wolfenstein rumor? Does it take of where RTCW stopped or is it a complete new story?
Wow now I have seen it all, favouring CoD3 over CoD2!?!?
Well the MP aspect ahd the worst servers for months (so much so that i traded it in), and the single player had the worst auto save feature of all time....
CoD3 was a small blip and hopefully faith will be restored to the WW2 CoD series...
Oh Surfer girl any news on Huxley for the 360!?!?!?
just my 2p.
Wolfenstein is suppose to be a 360 exclusive, as far as COD5, it'll probably suck like COD3 did. Treyarch just rushes the game. The only thing I've seen about what console Far Cry2 will be on is the 360, but it may come to the ps3 also if it does happen to make it to consoles.
Surfer girl, do you know anything about 8 Days?
Have you got any news on a new Warhawk game (not just an expansion pack). Thanks alot !
i wanna know some more about heavy rain! any new info? you are amazing!
So what's up with FarCry? Do you know why they decided to forget an exclusive and just put a sequel on the consoles? Is it both consoles?
Hey Surfer Girl
I herd as soon as Activision's time with the Bond rights is up (or possibly before). Nintendo has plans to snatch up the bond rights for a great deal of money hoping to relive the golden eye ages on the N64. Do you have any information on this other than what Reggie said about it months ago? Because to me, this is the only hopes for a bond game now, I cannot possibly think of any other company that is fit to make a AAA bond title.
S-Girl:
Crackdown sequel a no-go . . . wow. I trust your knowledge, but I'm shocked. Granted, it sold primarily on the basis of the H3 beta, but there was (and are) a relatively solid fanbase for it. Given how sequel-happy the industry is, and that MS can slap an "only on X360" sticker on it, I would have assumed Crackdown2 was a no-brainer.
I know you can't get too detail-specific, but was it a percieved lack of consumer interest, or developer-platform tension?
1. are there any triple a psp games coming out in the next year that we don't know about?
2. since the psp is selling better now, will it start getting more/better games?
3. is microsoft making a portable? If so, do you have any details on it
The one benefit that the PSP has now is that developers have already developed engines for the platform. That being said, i wouldn't expect to see too many more new engines. Revisions of existing, yes. New, not so much.
=(predator)=: New story.
r3x: No.
anonymous one: Wolfenstein is coming to PS3 as well. CoD5 has been in development prior to the release of CoD4. Far Cry 2 is multi-platform.
anonymous two: The game should hit selves during or before summer 09.
matthew meadows: I have not heard anything about a sequel, but I have heard talk of adding a single player campaign.
anonymous two: No.
peyton: Ubisoft could do it so they did. It is PS360.
the pwnzornator: There is no truth to this, maybe Reggie said something about putting Goldeneye on VC, but that is the first I've heard about Nintendo wanting the Bond rights. The company is generally not too interested in licensed titles.
busboy33: MS decided they wanted a Crackdown sequel a little too late, the Crackdown team at Realtime was already in development of their next title when MS decided they wanted a sequel. Realtime wanted to do one, but Microsoft was too hesitant for too long.
josh: Probably, maybe, no.
The Pwnzornator: I think you are misinterpreting what Reggie said about Goldeneye.. as for Activision, give them a chance before you condemn the game, who knows?
Absolutly
Reggie said this regaurding the Goldeneye for the VC. However he said in order to bring it, he and Nintendo would need to buy the bond rights from Activision, and apprently what ever left of Goldeneye Rare has. Reggie closed the comments with "the pain is worth the gain". Thats pretty much why I was asking surfergirl if she knows anything about this. If not thats fine ^-^
But what engine will RTCW use. Tech 4 or tech 5?
I love how you mix political with video game insider news. Very interesting strategy.
Do you think there's ever going to be a sequel to Freedom Fighters?
Do you know anything about "Infamous" new SuckerPunch game?
When in 08 it might get released, any kind of info.
Thanks
Are the rumors of a new Command & Conquer FPS true? 2009?
surfer girl is street fighter IV coming to ps360?
and i know this may be a ridiculous question but is diablo III coming to ps3?
Not sure where you heard that, Pwnzornator.
Here is the full quote you're thinking of:
"So how about some American favorites like "Tecmo Super Bowl" on the Wii's virtual console? Fils-Aime said licensing rights for old sports games can be tricky. "We're focused on the big titles that the pain is worth the gain." Naturally, then, the mammoth Nintendo 64 hit "GoldenEye" would be worth it even though the game's developer is now owned by Microsoft and the James Bond license was recently snatched up by Activision? "Would I love to see it on virtual console? Absolutely. But there are a lot of issues there." He made it sound like there's a chance. "Suffice it to say we would love to see it, so we're exploring all the rights issues.""
and will rainbow six vegas 2 for ps3 be a bad port like the first?
Regarding Blu-Ray, is the expanded capacity something developers are finding useful?
Do you think Sony made the right choice making it their format for games?
hey Samfish
alot of that seems familar, but I do rember reggie saying he would get the bond rights back if he can. etheir that, or ign or some gaming site put words in his mouth.... as usual....
"Heavy Iron are a good team. They did well on previous PIXAR titles(The Incredibles series) which were not the usual low-risk low-originality stuff."
Heavy Iron has a tendency to not pay their staff very well...and bring in middle managers that don't do too much so a lot of the talented people leave.
Most of the team that did the Incredibles left to other studios, Insomniac, ND, etc.
You can see it in the "Rat" Pixar game..very low numbers.
I hope that they do better at a turn around with the next Pixar property.
anonymous: Thanks, IO is currently considering a sequel to Freedom Fighters, whether or not that gets made will be left up to demand for such a title.
globox82: Fall.
ccfan: Possibly, C&CX is scheduled for 2009.
dante: Yes, no. Don't know.
mike: Yes, yes.
I realize this is slightly OT, but does anybody know when there's going to be a Spore demo so we can get some kind of handle on the Spore system requirements? I'm not going to spend the money to actually buy Spore until I know I can actually play Spore, you know?
